Glass-glass modules
Glass-glass modules are high-technology construction elements that provide the same functions as other conventional construction elements with regard to safety, thermal and acoustic insulation but also incorporate photovoltaic cells that generate electricity.
Design possibilities:
These modules offer extraordinary design possibilities and they are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and can be adapted to any design specification, such as:
- Module size (maximum dimensions 39.37 x 62.99 in).
- Module thickness (between 0.39 and 0.55 in).
- Different types of cells (polycrystalline or monocrystalline) and different cell sizes (4.92, 5.90 or 6.14 in)
- Different cell colours, which offer interesting architectural finishes to the building.
Application:
Glass-glass modules are used in skylights, curtain wall facades, parasols, flat glass roofs, pergolas and greenhouses.
Construction characteristics:
They are made with two layers of ultratransparent tempered glass encasing the photovoltaic solar cells, which allows the light to be regulated in accordance with the distance between the cells. The gaps between the cells can be adjusted to achieve greater or lesser transparency for decorative purposes.
They are suitable as a construction element on light facades thanks to their great strength and thermal insulation. All our architectural integration modules bear the CE mark and have been designed in accordance with IEC 61215.
Installation:
The Glass-Glass PV modules are installed on the structure of the building in the same way as any other construction glass. Standard structures can be used to hold the modules in place on 2 or all 4 sides. The modules can also be integrated into light facades with spider-type supports by drilling the supports to the module.
