Stand-alone installations
A stand-alone installation autonomously supplies electricity for consumption in a home by means of modules that convert solar radiation into electricity, which is stored in batteries or accumulators for subsequent consumption.
This type of installation is highly recommendable for areas where there is no connection to the electricity network, such as houses in non-developed areas, irrigation wells, water pumps, road signs and mobile applications such as sailboats and caravans.
For homes, an installation comprising photovoltaic modules and batteries is sufficient to supply all the electricity required for consumption. These modules are also highly recommendable for nautical applications and caravans as galvanised steel can be used for the framework to offer extra protection against sea salt.
In its product catalogue Siliken also includes photovoltaic modules for all these applications.
