About the company
SILIKEN began its activities in June 2001, led by founding partners Carlos Navarro, Gonzalo Navarro and Alfredo Puche. The company was created as a result of concerns regarding current energy and environmental problems and in that same year it received the IMPIVA award for best business initiative of the year.
Since then the work undertaken by the Siliken team has made us a dynamic and flexible company with continuous growth targets that is committed to the complete integration of clean renewable energy in our society. This has also meant that we have become one of the main manufacturers of photovoltaic modules in Spain.
Now, in 2008 we provide direct employment for 900 people and our staff is constantly growing. Our production in 2008 contributed 92 MW of solar energy to the market.
We have recently opened a new module production plant in Tenerife and in California to add to our existing plants in Rafelbunyol and Pobla de Farnals (Valencia) and Casa Ibáñez (Albacete). The total surface area of our production plants exceeds 430,556 ft². Our challenges now lie in constantly improving our products and increasing our production capacity.
